The South Dynon depot is the servicing, maintenance and operations point for most broad- and standard-gauge diesel locomotives in use in Victoria. The overall project objective is to provide additional capacity to maintain and stable VLocity trains at South Dynon.

Role and responsibilities:
Accountable for managing and installation of electromechanical services including new communications equipment room (CER), main switchboard room (MSB), new electrical inspection room, firefighting pumps & network, Telecommunication fibre optic network, Aspiration fire detection system, vast process piping network. Project Value A$150 million.

Project Description:
Expanding airport capacity to 30 million annual passengers providing 46 gates for international and domestic flights. The scope of the project covered a vast 150 km2 built up area, including a substantial SCADA and BMS network serving 240 buildings, two tier-3 rated Data Centres, numerous external substations, a 100 KW PV solar farm for parking areas, extensive infrastructure of telecommunication network encompassing 600 KM of fibre optic cables, 8000 CCTV cameras, access control systems, and a comprehensive airport meteorological system.

Role and responsibilities:
Ahmed provided engineering management for BMS and SCADA systems, overseeing electrical and mechanical systems along with various building services such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and data networks.
