Major Project Contributor – WP26.1C for Skanska Costain Strabag Joint Venture (SCSJV) & High Speed 2 (HS2)
Morrisons Utility Services (MUS) was assigned as the main sub-contractor for the Design & Construction of Work Package 26.1C for SCSJV (PC) in London, UK for High Speed 2 (HS2) (Client).
The project consisted of 3 sites that were to have utility diversions due to assets threatened in the Ground Monitoring Assessment and had a total value of £30M. The contract was administered as a New Engineering Contract 3 (NEC3) under various options. Chase, Adelaide, and Victoria Rd all consisted of multi-utility diversions including United Kingdom Power Networks (UKPN) LV and HV diversions, Scottish & Southern Electrical (SSE) HV, LV and Comms, Thames Water (TW) sewer lining, manhole construction and service connections and Cadent Gas LP, MP mains renewal and decommissioning. Other minor works included road rehabilitation and communications installations for various owners.
All three packages were commercially closed off in gain share for the firm and client.
Highlight
Played an important role in the successful delivery of a culvert replacement scope, involving decommissioning existing culverts and micro-tunnelling (pipe-jacking) a new section of 150m x 2400mm reinforced concrete culverts under a live highway.
