Cameron played an integral role supporting the Southern Program Alliance, a significant level crossing removal program of works in Melbourne’s south-east. In the role of Senior Project Manager, he was responsible for a unique and broad range of responsibilities. He facilitated the projects controls roll out, as well as management of the overarching procurement and contract administration system. Cameron was heavily involved in developing and refining the finance and reporting process, and also played a leading role in the procurement teams' strategy and approach to future works packages. His work in procurement largely involved the development and delivery of the procurement strategy for the future works stages, analysis of procurement options, market engagement, preparation of tender documentation and tender evaluation support.
Safe System Road Infrastructure Program – VicRoads | May 2018 – April 2019
Cameron was responsible for the rollout and delivery of approximately $120m of road safety upgrades in VicRoads’ North-East Region for the Safe System Road Infrastructure Program (SSRIP). In this role, he took over management of legacy projects under duress and successfully negotiated down variations and suspension of works claims. Cameron's experience on SSRIP demonstrates his successful ability to interface with, and manage, government stakeholders for the success of projects under his management.

As a Senior Project Engineer, Cameron led a team of engineers and site supervisors to plan and deliver Rail Systems - Combine Services Route (CSR) works between Caulfield Station and the new Pakenham East High Capacity Train Depot.
This scope of work included:
• Managing a large team of eight engineers and three supervisors spread across 60km of work fronts
• Producing and maintaining cost forecasts, financial tracking and monthly reports
• Installation of 30km of CSR through residential and industrial environments
• Installation of 35km of CSR through rural and environmental sensitive areas
• Planning and successful delivery of three major rail commissioning occupations
• Completion of 3.6km of underground bored CSR

Ichthys CVL3 Project, $923M
The project involves the constructing the Main Civil Works Package 3 (CVL-3) on the Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities, Northern Territory’s largest construction project. Leighton Contractors will deliver critical onshore infrastructure associated with the processing plant, which includes two 4.2 MTPA LNG trains.
As Project Engineer – Earthworks (Underground Services), Cameron’s responsibilities included:
• Planning, maintaining and monitoring construction programs and completion of underground services activities
• Organising, designing and implementing temporary works and infrastructure as required
• Preparing work packages, documentation and quality requirements for tender by potential subcontractors
• Ensuring the works between subcontractors is coordinated with minimal interface disruptions
• Proactive management of quality assurance and control processes including recommending remedial action in cases of non -compliance to quality standards
• Rigorous cost control and forecasting including earned value analysis calculations
• Engaging in inspection and verification activities
• Ensuring completion of Quality Control Checklists and reports by field staff
• Verifying conformance prior to accepting completed work.

MitchCo Group provides services for rail signalling installation, underground services location, civil constriction and specialised plant and equipment hire across the Victorian construction industry. As Project Engineer, Cameron’s role involved estimating for major tenders, budget control and reporting, and implementing new processes and procedures for financial reporting, cost control, OH&S and quality assurance. He was also responsible for managing daily construction activities, managing a workforce of up 40 personnel and liaising with clients. Projects included:

Construction of 7.5km of new regional track; new rail bridges; two road/rail separations at level crossings; new station; station upgrades; design and construction of train control systems (TCS); and improvement works to level crossings.
South Morang Rail Extension – Client: John Holland
Duplication of 5km of track; 3.5km of new double track; four new stabling roads; three new major road overpasses; two new rail bridges; and three premium stations. Rail works included track, overhead wiring and signalling.

Project Engineer, Wodonga Derailment Remediation, $2M | November 2010 – June 2011
The project scope included the demolition and reinstatement of damaged sections of the bridge structure and rail components caused by a freight train derailment on the Wodonga Rail Bypass. The project was undertaken in a live rail environment.
Cameron’s responsibilities included:
• Management of site establishment and approvals
• Design, implementation and supervision of demolition and reinstatement of damaged bridge sections
• Design, implementation and supervision of earthworks
• Supervision of up to 15 workforce personnel
• Implementation and supervision of beam jacking and repositioning
• Management of project cost control, forecasting and subcontracts
• Development and implementation of quality control and OH&S systems.
Cameron’s responsibilities included:
• Coordination and management of CFA pile installation
• Column and headstock construction
• Beam installation and management of the crane subcontractor
• Concrete bridge deck placement
• Structural steel walkways and bridge drainage.
Cameron also worked on the surrounding infrastructure upgrade works. These included:
• Construction of off-structure barriers along the Hume Highway
• Partial demolition of the existing live rail bridge
• Conceptual development and retro-fit of steel walkways to a live rail bridge
• Installation of a surcharge Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) pile and concrete precast retaining wall.
Tasks involved the development of RFIs and design reviews; programming and coordination of site works; subcontract management; cost reporting and forecasting; and development and implementation of QA documentation.

The project scope included the construction of six concrete bio-filter structures and the installation of GRP ductwork and fan system to reduce foul air emissions from the Treatment Plant.

The project included the construction of 45km of three lane freeway standard road in directions, 88 bridges, 17 major interchanges, three rail crossings and two 1.6km tunnels across six local council jurisdictions. Cameron was responsible for the coordination and management of drainage and conduit works in the Ringwood North area. Works included the installation of stormwater drainage including roadside pits, swale drains, concrete pipes and subsoil drainage. His scope of work also included the installation of communication and electrical conduits. Cameron was involved in procurement, coordination of site works, QA and subcontractor management.
