Offline construction of an integral bridge over a Vline operated rail corridor. Involves multiple stages of utility relocations, multiple council road connection to large industrial estates, interactions with other major projects in the local area.

Responsibilities:

Development of two complete projects simultaneously, overseeing a team of SPE/PE and SE’s to obtain market pricing, develop full project programs (with detailed links to rail occupations)
Development of drawings and design to provide significant savings to the overall project outcome.
Development of staging plans for both projects including presentations to both internal and external stakeholders, staging plans included interaction with private businesses, rail occupations planning, road occupation planning, Civil and Structure interactions and overall
project works.
Develop and oversee overall project planning for the lifetime of the project (within MS Project– then fed back into Primavera P6)

Fulton Hogan, as part of the Metropolitan Roads Program Alliance (MRPA), is responsible for level crossing removals and construction of carparks for the Level Crossing Removal Project. This alliance has allowed me to take 3 carpark project from concept through to delivery and completions. With the successful delivery of one of the three carparks and expected successful delivery of the remainder prior to the end of the year.

Responsibilities:

Oversee planning and coordination of delivery works across three construction sites, with a focus on stakeholder management,
Development of Adjustment Event (AE) documentation for works supplementary to the original contract requirements.
Strong understanding of end of month accounting requirements. Including management of monthly accruals for the entirety of the investigation works, successful management of cost codes assigned to myself and regularly assists others.
Management of Construction Phase Services (CPS) for three sites, including resolution of all Request for Information (RFI).
Management of quality assurance including verification of all Material Approvals (MA) and resolution of Non Conformance Reports (NCR),
Detailed reviews of all design packages to provide optimisation for cost, constructability and commuter benefits.
Management of key stakeholder relationships including initial project presentations, Q&A sessions and site access requirements.

Identify and implement all relevant permits including permits relating to works inside the rail corridor, in vicinity of high voltage power and relating to removal of road assets.
Prepare statement of works and negotiate tenders for numerous construction packages including pilings works, Form/Reinforcement/Pour (FRP) works, Craning Packages and Demolition works.
Develop and implement inspection test plans (ITP’s) for a significant zone of the project.
Maintain forecasts and complete monthly forecast reviews for all packages of works.
Lead the Health and Wellbeing Committee for a major zone of the project.

Achievements:

Successfully developed and implemented an updated ITP for structural concrete to increase quality and reduce amount of paperwork.
Elected leader of the west zone Health and Wellbeing Committee by all Project Managers in the west zone
Installed over 75 precast elements including Super T beams, Planks and Parapets.
