Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Infrastructure)
RMIT
Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (Civil)
RMIT
Through 10 years in engineering, I have delivered 8 major infrastructure projects including 6 level crossing projects. I bring a wealth of civil infrastructure knowledge across a broad range of scopes, with bridge construction as a particular strong suite. Logistics, contracting strategy and innovation are three underpinning components of engineering I enjoy and thrive at.
My performance is proven through career history of scope delivered and responsibilities undertaken. As someone determined to become a project manager, I understand and show leadership qualities and a strong emphasis on core project deliverables in cost, program, safety and quality. I embrace the responsibility, accountability, pressure and workload that comes with a senior construction role.

Kananook Stabling Yard – Stage 2 • LXRA • $265m | May 2024 – Current
Snr Project Engineer / Project Cost Controller
On the back of a strong commercial performance assisting with Glen Huntly LX close out, the business requested assistance in the project controls space for Kananook. Working closely with the project manager, alliance finance manager and wider project team I have been tasked with improving project controls to enable accurate project forecasting and decision making.
Key achievements include assisting in reduced project forecast at completion position by $12m from May to December.
Key tasks:
Champion & Maddox Level Crossing Removal Project Tender • Program Alliance • LXRA • $300m | Feb 2024 – May 2024
Structures Lead
As the structures lead for the bid, provided expertise to put forward a sound construction solution, that also presents as an optimised value for money proposal for the state. The project is unique as a heavy brown fields site with 11 high pressure fuel pipes running parallel with the existing alignment and two different rail operators in MTM and ARTC.
Key Items
Glen Huntly Level Crossing Removal Project • Program Alliance • LXRA • $600m | Feb 2023 – Feb 2024

John Holland Group – Jan 2017 – Feb 2023
Preston Level Crossing Removal Project • Program Alliance • LXRA • $500m | Jan 2021 – Feb 2023
Senior Project Engineer
Scope
- Site Establishment
- Hardstand
- Retaining Walls and Abutments
- Substructure FRP & Precast crosshead
- Civil Profiling
- Landscaping
- Carparks
- Site Demob
Preston Level Crossing has been the most challenging project of my career. Throughout the project, I have embraced continued new scope allocated to me, typically on critical path or requiring significant engineering power. This has led to management of $40m worth of work delivered over a dozen different scopes and 20 contracts with 8-12 direct reports. I was on the early stages of the project post award and involved in design development and site set up. During this planning and design phase, a highlight has been developing the hardstand to permanent works optimisation, contamination & material reuse strategies.

Key Achievements & Highlights
Bell to Moreland Level Crossing Removal Project • Program Alliance • LXRA • $500m | Jan 2020 – Jan 2021
Project Engineer
Scope
- FRP Pilecaps
- Insitu Piers
- Precast Piers
- Superstructure stitch FRP
B2M was a high intensity occupation driven project, with an immense focus on accelerated construction, sequencing and logistics. The substructure scope was predominately precast and insitu concrete focused. Highlights include Delivering critical path occupation scope on program, managing CIGs large contract and development of precast piers methodology.
Key Achievements & Highlights
Reservoir Level Crossing Removal Project • Program Alliance • LXRA • $250m | Nov 2018 – Dec 2019
Site Engineer
- Rail formation Earthworks
- Viaduct Precast Beam supply and deliver
- Superstructure installation
- Superstructure stitch FRP
- Ancillary Steel
- Superstructure screens and handrail
Reservoir LXRP was a great project where my scope primary scope was concrete superstructure including precast supply, install and ancillary steel. This project I was tasked with full ownership including financial reporting of the scope, reporting directly to the structures SPE. Due to detailed occupation planning and delivery, the Construction manager tasked me with the critical rail formation works during the main shut which was a great
challenge.
Key Achievements and Highlights
Mernda Rail Extension Project • D&C • LXRA • $600m | Jan 2017 – Nov 2018
Graduate Engineer
- L-Beam installation
- Abutments
- Retaining Walls
- Structural Steel install
- Footpath and Kerb
Mernda rail was a challenging project in which I gained great experience completing a various multi disciplinary scopes. Key learnings from the project were managing subcontractors, overseeing self perform crews of 20+, cost control and technical knowledge in steel and concrete.
Key Responsibilities and deliverables:
CPB Contractors | Jan 2015 – Dec 2016
Undergraduate Engineer
Heatherdale LXRP • D&C • LXRA • $480m | Sep 2016 – Dec 2016
Rail under road solution with new station and cycling paths. Short stint on the project involved procurement, shop drawing and overseeing fabrication of 400t of structural steel for the station.
Western Treatment Plant Upgrade Augmentation Stage 2 Tender • D&C • Melbourne Water • $135m | July 2016 – Sep 2016
Part of the team that successfully won the tender to design, construct, operate and maintain a 140 ML/day Sewage Treatment Plant consisting of four combined Bioreactor and Clarifiers tanks. Key responsibilities included developing construction methodologies and estimates for civil and structural works. A key focus of mine on the bid was to development of a 4D staging model of all construction activities from site establishment to commissioning. Dissecting P6 program and construction methodologies, I used Revit and sketch up softwares to develop into a video format that was presented to the Melbourne Water in the final presentation and formed part of final submission.
Glen Iris Main Drain Project • D&C • Melbourne Water • $12m | Jan 2015 – July 2016
This project involved the installation of 1km of 1350mm RC pipes. Working in a small team alongside only the project manager and supervisor I held an incredible amount of responsibility in delivering all aspects of the project. From conducting prestart and inductions, to manual labour temp fence installation to directly liasing with council to handover assets and obtain permits this project was instrumental to my development. A few key highlight from the project was delivering the section of pipeline bored under the existing rail line.
