Michael directed the special projects group within Ron Finemore Tyres. Projects included two clandestine (industrial secret) projects relating to tyre health monitoring devices and a novel tyre recycling system that closed the loop on rubber waste. Leading teams in this environment required:

  • Stakeholder management of Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA), Federal Government and industry bodies on sustainability targets, whilst maintaining probity conditions.
  • Development of project proposals (Solution, methodology, program and commercials) using only a small, high impact team under strict probity conditions.
  • Acting as central point of contact and accountability for the project.
