Works included installing 14km of Combined Service Route incorporating VicTrack, V/Line Rail Signalling & OCS comms from Waurn Ponds to Geelong Station and 8km of Combined Service Route through Winchelsea Upgrading existing Signalling Network.
Works included trenching & horizontal direction drilling of CSR, zonebox concrete foundation installation, retaining wall & handrail installation, drainage, pavements, signal foundation installation and fencing all in collaboration with design to effectively manage and resolve technical issues.

Senior Project Engineer (Civil and Structural) responsible for project engineering the main work packages across the project including, Ginifer Substations infrastructure
works, Albion Substation infrastructure works and responsible for the managing contractors (civil/ structural, and electrical contractors) for Keilor Plains Substation for supporting the Sunbury Corridor high-capacity Trains on the line for the end client RPV. Managing project schedules, project critical deadlines, managing variations form site activities from all contractors, signing off on ITP’s, ITR’s, daily, weekly, and monthly reports and interfacing with the client daily. Responsible overseeing cost control, monthly forecasting, project scheduling and dealing with all construction technical matters. Thomas was responsible for coordination of interface meetings with all contractors and monitoring of schedules to report upwards to MTM Senior Management. Thomas was also responsible for managing setup and overview for the 3 x Sewer Extension Work packages for the 3 Prefabricated sites, including all the Detailed Construction Methodologies, Site Kick Off meetings, Risk Assessment

Managing project schedules, project critical deadlines, ordering of materials, development and signing of ITP’s, ITR’s daily, weekly, and monthly reports and interfacing with the client daily.
Responsible for pricing variations, cost control, monthly forecasting, project scheduling and dealing with all construction technical matters. Project Engineer (Civil and Structural) seconded to Multiworks Australia (Civil Engineering Contractor) engaged as part of the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase to undertake constructability design reviews for the Civil stormwater design, trenching, backfill requirements and reinstatement works. The following tasks and deliverables were undertaken during the ECI phase including works methodology, constructability analysis, staging plan, schedule, risk register, work breakdown structure, isolations plan, working calendar and long lead time item schedule.

Senior Civil / Structural Engineer responsible for assisting the project alliance in the signalling team for Combined Services Routes (CSR) in the rail corridor at Flinders Street station, Southern Cross, Caulfield Station, Cranbourne Station, Dandenong and Richmond. This secondment was site and office based to resolve outstanding issue across a variety of projects that have come to the end of project delivery. The project team involved collaboration with site engineers, project engineers, senior managers, project managers and interfacing solutions to the MTM and PTV as the client.

Civil/ Structural Engineer for conceptual design, detailed design reviews, through to construction activities delivering multiple projects providing technical engineering advice and engineering design to contractors and field personnel. Interdisciplinary checks from Civil/Structural detailed design reviews interfacing with the electrical layout arrangement details. Responsibilities included all detailed design reviews for design service provider, calculation checks and optimisation of key design outputs for all Civil/structural related designs for upgrade of the electrical infrastructure. Participation in Safety in design meetings, Constructability, Operability and Maintainability throughout each work package with input from key field contractors, operational and maintenance personnel.
